How to Use Full Guard
Simple steps. Maximum protection.
Full Guard: Protection for Every Contact Sport
Full Guard is designed to be used before, during, and after training or competition — giving athletes in rugby, jiu-jitsu, MMA, wrestling, football, and other contact sports full-spectrum protection against the bacteria, fungi, and viruses that thrive in shared environments.
Why It Matters
Skin infections don’t wait. They can begin developing within minutes of contact through:
-
Scrapes, cuts, and stud marks
-
Open pores from sweat, heat, or showers
-
Skin-on-skin collisions
-
Contaminated mats, pitches, and equipment
A simple spray of Full Guard reduces bacterial load instantly, helping athletes stop infections long before they have the chance to worsen.
Three Crucial Moments
Before Training or Matches
Prepare like a pro. A quick spray onto exposed skin creates an immediate line of defence before stepping onto the mat, pitch, or field.
During Play
Every collision, scrape, or abrasion opens the body up to risk. Reapply mid-session or mid-match to neutralise bacteria on fresh marks before they spread.
After Training or Matches
Post-shower is when your pores are wide open and most vulnerable. A final spray kills anything picked up during the session — giving you peace of mind as you recover.
Before Training
Protect your team and create a barrier
Spray all exposed areas of skin — especially high-contact zones like the neck, arms, legs, and hands — until skin is visibly damp. This forms a mild protective barrier to help block infection throughout your session.
Pay special attention to small cuts, scratches, or dry areas — they’re prime entry points for pathogens.
Reapply during (every 15 minutes) if you are at high risk of infection.
During Training
Top up protection when needed.
You can reapply Full Guard between rounds or during breaks — especially if:
-
You’ve picked up a new scrape, stud mark or mat burn - or anywhere that you'd consider open pores
-
You’ve come into contact with dirty surfaces, other peoples sweat or conditions that favour germs
-
You’re using shared equipment
A quick spray can help reduce contamination and speed up skin recovery on the go.
After Training
This is the most critical step.
-
Try to towel off any sweat or dirt first — this prevents bacteria being trapped on the skin.
-
Spray generously over all exposed areas.
-
Focus on broken skin, mat burn, and red patches.
This should be done immediately after training — before chatting, sitting down, or heading home. Your skin is vulnerable post-training, and your pores are open. Full Guard steps in to clean, protect, and cool your skin in those crucial moments.
