Gripping, Mat Contact and Dojo Sweat
Judo is a gripping sport built on close contact. Hands work the gi for a whole session, bodies meet the mat on every throw, and the dojo runs warm. That combination of sweat, friction and shared surfaces makes a steady hygiene routine part of good judo.
The kit below covers the two moments that matter most: a proper wash after training, and a rinse-free cleanse for the journey home or the shiai venue when a shower is not an option.

I restarted jiu-jitsu after 10 years off. At my old club, good hygiene was always taken seriously, and when I moved clubs I noticed less of that culture, so when CSH came up on social media I picked up some Full Guard. Using it before and after training, my skin has stayed clean and fresh. It genuinely does the job when you train in hot, sweaty environments.

This spray gives me so much confidence training every day. Any bit of mat grime and a few sprays lifts it and dries fast, which really puts my mind at ease. It keeps my skin feeling clean and fresh between sessions, so I can keep doing the sport I love. Genuinely impressed with how well it works as part of my routine.

Excellent product, team. I waited until I had used my whole first bottle before reviewing, and I will definitely be a returning customer. I have recommended it to everyone at my gym and team. My skin can feel rough after training, so I use it after showering to keep things fresh. Excellent product, and a brilliant message to the sport about hygiene.

I have been using Full Guard for over six months as part of my regular training routine, before and after every session. It is made in the UK, and its purity is the main reason I trust it. It has become a staple in my kit bag and comes with me everywhere, from training to competitions. I would highly recommend Full Guard to anyone training in combat sports.

As a top-ranked IBJJF purple belt I take my training and my routine seriously. I use CSH every time I step on and off the mats, and after six-plus months it is a crucial part of how I look after my skin around training. My skin feels fresh and comfortable afterwards, and it is gentle enough that it does not bother my sensitive skin. Would recommend as part of anyone's routine.

10 out of 10 product. It keeps me training across multiple sessions and feeling clean and fresh. I have sensitive skin that used to get irritated easily, and it has been much better since I started using this. Would recommend.

FAQ
Judo Hygiene Questions
How do judoka keep their hands and skin clean?
Clean hands before and after training protect your grips and your partners. Wash properly after each session, keep your gi clean and dry, and use a rinse-free cleanse when a shower is not available yet.
Soap or spray, which one do I actually need?
Both, ideally, because they do different jobs. The Athlete Soap Bar is your proper wash in the shower. Full Guard is a rinse-free cleanse for the moments you cannot shower yet, like the drive home or between matches. That is why we offer them together as a bundle.
Do I still need to shower if I use Full Guard?
Yes. Full Guard is a rinse-free skin cleanse for when a shower is not available, not a replacement for one. Shower as soon as you reasonably can, and use Full Guard to stay fresh in between.
Is Full Guard gentle enough to use every day?
Yes. It is a cosmetic spray formulated at a skin-friendly pH with no sting and no scent, designed for regular use on healthy skin.
How long does a bottle of Full Guard last?
A 150ml bottle usually lasts around two to three months with regular training. The three-bottle bundle works out at roughly six months of use for most people.
Are these products a treatment for skin infections?
No. Our soaps and sprays are registered cosmetics for keeping your skin clean and fresh. They are not medicines and are not intended to treat, prevent or cure any condition. If you have a specific skin concern, speak to a GP, pharmacist or dermatologist.
